The Lake House Inn is a premier wedding venue and event facility located in Upper Bucks County near the border of the Lehigh Valley. Originally built as an Inn and stage coach stop in the late 1700’s, this historic structure has served as a blacksmith shop, post office, general store, and most recently a restaurant. We began the current renovation by removing a series of “poor architectural additions” added over the years. This allowed the design team to preserve the original 200-year old Inn and add a 15,000 sq. ft. addition, incorporating the kitchen and a meeting space supplementing the 14-room inn. Replacing the existing parking with terraced gardens and an amphitheater facing the lake, we restored 40% of the impervious surface to gardens and greenscape. Environmental elements include the reuse of existing fieldstone for interior and exterior walls and the geothermal HVAC system making use of existing on-site wells.
